Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Just Book Club. They cover the Just Book Club app and this website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. They are short and written to be understood.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Just Book Club.
• Give us accurate information and keep your password to yourself. Your account is yours alone, and you are responsible for what happens on it.
• You can leave at any time by deleting your account in the app, from the You tab.

Your content

Everything you post stays yours. By posting it, you give us permission to store it and show it to the members of your clubs, which is what the app is for. We do not use your content for anything else. What happens to your content when you delete your account is described in the privacy policy.

Rules of conduct

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on Just Book Club. That includes:

• Harassment, bullying, hate, or threats aimed at anyone.
• Sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable material.
• Spam, impersonation, or misleading others about who you are.
• Anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.

We may remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or close the accounts of people who post it, without notice when the situation calls for it.

Reporting and blocking

Any post, comment, review, or message can be reported from inside the app by holding it down. You can block any member from their profile in a club's settings. We review every report within 24 hours and remove content that breaks the rules.

The service

• Just Book Club is free. There are no subscriptions, no ads, and no in-app purchases.
• We work to keep the app available and your data safe, but we may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the app evolves.
• Book titles, covers, and details come from public book catalogs. We do not control them and cannot promise they are always accurate.

Ending an account

You can delete your account at any time from the You tab. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Either way, what happens to your data is described in the privacy policy.

Disclaimers

Just Book Club is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the app or the site, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from their use. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law does not allow us to limit.

Apple

The app is distributed through Apple's App Store. These terms are between you and Just Book Club, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app, is not responsible for it, and may enforce these terms as a third party beneficiary.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with an updated date at the top. A change that matters will also be called out in the app.
